• Standardized primary and secondary Units of Measurement (UoM) defined to stop conversion errors
• Correct 6-digit or 8-digit HSN codes and default GST rates assigned to every active master item
• Bill-wise outstanding balances reconciled against physical signed debtor/creditor balance confirmations

BOMs, Costing & Shop-Floor Operations (5 points)

• Complete multi-level Bills of Materials (BOM) extracted from spreadsheets into structured parent-child trees
• Standard scrap, wastage, and yield percentages factored into component definitions
• Physical stock audit completed across all godowns with batch and lot numbers tagged
• Uniform inventory valuation method selected (FIFO vs. Weighted Average) across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
• Warehouse/godown hierarchy mapped for real-time stock transfers between plants and central stores

Statutory & Cut-Over Accounting Rules (5 points)

• Clean cut-over milestone chosen (preferably 1st April or a quarter-end to keep tax periods intact)
• Clean cut-over rule enforced: migrate opening balances and open POs/SOs only, keeping Tally as a read-only historical archive
• GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and GSTR-2B reconciled with zero pending discrepancies for the current financial year
• Bank reconciliation statement (BRS) cleared with zero entries sitting in suspense accounts
• Direct IRP e-invoicing and e-way bill API credentials verified on both sandbox and production ERP instances

Team Roles & Parallel Run Protocol (5 points)

• Head of accounts/CA involved directly in configuration sign-off rather than handed a finished system
• Documented 30-day parallel run protocol with weekly general ledger and stock balance cross-checks
• Strict, non-negotiable end date scheduled for the parallel run to prevent team double-entry burnout
• Role-based permissions assigned so production, purchase, sales, and accounts access only their designated screens
• Hands-on training completed for storekeepers on material issue slips and goods receipt notes (GRN)
